MY FAVOURITE PLACE IN
THE WORLD
The name of the place where I live is A Guarda. It's a seaside village in the southwest coast of Galicia.
The name of the place where I live is A Guarda. It's a seaside village in the southwest coast of Galicia.
In A Guarda there are a lot of places to be visited. For example, Mount Santa Tegra, in which there is a Celtic village. Surrounding the village, there are a lot of beaches. On one of them, A Lamiña, we can see the end of the river Miño, which is a river that crosses all Galicia.
In my opinion, the most striking place in A Guarda is the port. There you can see the most spectacular sunset in the world. Colours and sea air make a wonderful atmosphere that moves you to other world. It's like a world of dreams. When the sun goes down, colours reflect in the water and that makes an exciting picture. There is also a street with a lot of restaurants. There you can enjoy some of the best seafood in the area.
People here are very nice and all of us are like a
big family, because the village isn't very big. In our traditional annual festival all the people in the village gather and
we show our love to each other and to our village. A Guarda is the most fantastic place to live and I
wouldn't change it for nothing.

A Guarda
Like more than 10.000 inhabitants, I live in a especial village in Galicia, Spain; where Galicia's longest river flows into the sea. It makes border with the north of Portugal and as you can guess, knowing that it's on the coast, it's a fishing village.
A Guarda has its own history, which comes from the Celtics, in fact we keep the remains of their settlement up in our Mount Santa Tegra. My village also has a wonderful landscape with two different options: mountain and beach ''all in one!'' On top of the Mount SantaTegra you can visit the most meaningful and magnificent place of the village, admiring its Celtic villages and seeking the hidden petroglifos. Then, you can choose among three beaches. Besides, we have an awesome fishing port to go for a walk along the long promenade.
A Guarda is a quiet village, perfect for a relaxing holiday, nonetheless if you love party-time you can enjoy yourself at Saturday nights in a lot of pubs and discos.
This village has it all! Are you going to miss it?
Come here and visit us!

A Guarda
A Guarda is a picturesque
fishing village in the southwest of Galicia.
A Guarda is a wonderful place to
visit as it has beautiful sandy beaches and a very famous mountain called Santa
Tegra with Celtic ruins; furthermore, this mountain is the second most visited
place in Galicia. There you can enjoy beautiful views of the river Miño estuary
and the mountains in Portugal. There is also a ferry boat that crosses over to
Portugal in less than 10 minutes. A lot of people use it to go for a coffee or
to go to the market.
The buildings in the habour are painted with different colours and there is a beautiful promenade from the habour to the River Miño Estuary.

A Guarda is definitely the
right place to visit because it has everything you could wish for in same town;
the sea, a river and a mountain.

A GUARDA
A Guarda is a small village in Pontevedra, it is a fishing village. It has very nice places, the estuary of the river Miño, the Celtic houses on Mount Santa Tegra...The weather here is rainy, but temperatures are mild.
Every year a lot of tourists visit us, A Guarda is the second most visited
place in Galicia, after the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The most famous place in A Guarda is Mount Santa. Tegra because this mountain has Celtic houses, an archaeological museum and beatiful views of
the village.
A Guarda area has also many river pools and sea beaches and there is a
beach museum near the restaurants area in the port.
In my opinion A Guarda is a perfect place for a holiday because it has
mountain, river and sea.
